The University of Alabama’s Young Americans for Freedom chapter announced today plans to host former Vice President Mike Pence for a free speaking event April 11.
Pence’s program, entitled “Saving America from the Woke Left,” will feature prepared remarks and a Q&A with members of the audience.

The event is free and open to the public. Doors will open at the UA Student Center Ballroom at 5:30 p.m. for the 6:30 program. Ticket registration is open now.
Young America’s Foundation, the parent body over Young Americans for Freedom, is a nonprofit conservative youth activism organization with chapters at campuses all over the country. YAF hosts tabling, conferences, and big-name speakers as part of their mission to introduce youth to their core tenants of individual freedom, a strong national defense, free enterprise, and traditional values.
Pence’s visit is funded in part by Young America’s Foundation. The UA YAF chapter has also raised funds via conservative groups and donors from around the state.
UA YAF hosted Matt Walsh of The Daily Wire last semester. While his appearance drew controversy and protests, event day saw long lines and a packed room.
